In 1936, Dorothea Lange took a photograph of a poor woman, who ended up being a symbol of the Great Depression that was suffered at the time .Lange Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, May 26, 1895, she is humanistic photographs of the terrible consequences of the Great Depression made her one of the leading journalists in world photojournalism.

The mother in the picture was named Florence Owen Thompson, she was 32 years old, and she was seen there with a baby and two older children. The identity of the woman was not known until the end of the 70s and when interviewed she said she was angry with Lange for making money with her image.
I love this photograph because shows a lot of emotion behind it, and it shows more to be in black and white, I agree with Mr. Thompson this angry, after all nobody asked permission to be photographed. However this does not take away the charm.
